Job summary

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is seeking a Senior Global Commodity Manager to lead global sourcing for biochemicals, manage a ~$234M spend, and drive cost, quality, and continuity. The role partners with Operations, Quality, R&D, Planning and suppliers to optimize the biochemical supply base and supports a remote work setup.

Candidates should have 12+ years in procurement of chemicals/biochemicals or biologics, with FDA-regulated product experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or business field.
• 12+ years of procurement/sourcing experience in chemicals/biochemicals/biologics.
• Experience with FDA regulated products a plus.
• Experience in supplier management and negotiating complex contracts.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% (domestic/international).

Responsibilities

• Develop, define, and execute global category strategies for chemicals/biochemicals.
• Evaluate suppliers, lead RFIs/RFPs/auctions, and negotiate agreements.
• Perform spend analysis and market intelligence to drive savings.
• Collaborate with R&D/Operations and other functions to guide supplier selection.
• Apply Lean/DBS continuous improvement techniques to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
