Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Senior Global Commodity Manager to lead chemicals/biochemicals sourcing worldwide, managing a multi-hundred-million-dollar spend and partnering with R&D, Operations and Quality to ensure supply continuity and cost competitiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, MBA or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years of procurement/sourcing experience in chemicals, biochemicals, or biologics, including strategic sourcing and supplier management.
• Working knowledge of biological reagents used in immunoassays or FDA regulated products; experience with R&D and Operations to resolve reagent issues.
• Demonstrated expertise in negotiations, contract management, and sourcing events (RFI/RFP).

Responsibilities

• Develop, define, and execute global category strategies for chemicals/biochemicals.
• Evaluate suppliers, lead RFIs/RFPs/auctions, negotiate agreements, and drive preferred-supplier adoption.
• Develop spend analysis, market intelligence, project repository maintenance, and cost savings tracking.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with R&D, NPI, and Quality to build roadmaps and sourcing strategies.
• Adopt Lean/ DBS tools to improve cost, quality, delivery, and inventory.
