RAMTeCH Software Solutions seeks an experienced GIS technician to remotely support an East Coast utility client. You will update GIS databases and maps for the electric distribution network using ArcGIS/ArcPro and ArcFM, coordinate with utility staff, and ensure data quality. Qualifications

• Minimum: three years of GIS experience.
• Education in computer science, engineering, GIS, cartography/geography, or related field.
• Experience with GIS technology and Windows tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with GIS and utility staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine GIS database and map updates for the electric distribution network using ArcGIS/ArcPro and ArcFM.
• Analyze CAD drawings, maps, and client databases for research.
• Track inquiries and work performed in client spreadsheets, databases, or apps.
• Implement client model specifications and procedural changes as needed.
• Follow work orders, data cleanup, and project tasks as part of a RAMTeCH team.

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Remote for an East Coast Utility Client

Position Description:

RAMTeCH Software Solutions, a global geospatial data management, technical and consulting services, and software solutions company specializing in the utility and telecommunications industries, is seeking an experienced GIS technician to work remotely for a major utility client based on the East Coast. The technician’s main responsibilities will be to perform routine GIS database and map updates for the electric distribution network. All editing tasks will be performed using ArcGIS/ArcPro and Schneider Electric’s ArcFM software. All GIS Technicians report to a RAMTeCH manager and work closely with the utility GIS staff in a team environment. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with GIS teammates, as well as utility employees from other departments.

Position Requirements:

• Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS 10.8.1 or newer. ESRI ArcPro is a plus.
• Familiarity with Schneider Electric ArcFM is desirable.
• Experience with electric networks is required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and work independently.
• Learn and understand all tasks on the project, including work order processing, data cleanup, and following
• Implement the client model specifications and procedural changes as needed.
