Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer - Cybersecurity to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable web applications and AI-enabled platform capabilities. The role spans frontend and backend with Vue.js, Java Spring Boot, and Python, and involves cloud-native solutions in Azure.

You will collaborate across product, security, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable, observable, and secure end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering across frontend and backend.
• 3+ years with Java/Spring Boot and 3+ years with Python for backend and AI-enabled services.
• Experience deploying in Azure and using CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with secure web/API development and OWASP Top 10.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable web apps and AI-enabled features.
• Develop frontend in Vue.js and backend in Java Spring Boot and Python.
• Create RESTful APIs, data models, and ORM-based persistence.
• Integrate AI/LLM features, vector/search, and RAG workflows.
• Collaborate with product, security, and DevOps teams to ensure reliability and security.
• Contribute to CI/CD, testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Implement observability, logging, and performance optimizations.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
