Job summary

NTT DATA North America is seeking a Senior Firewall Engineer to design, implement, and manage firewall-based security across our network architecture. This role is REMOTE with potential Arlington, VA alignment, requiring deep expertise in firewall technologies and security practices.

The candidate will lead policy development, threat monitoring, and security audits while collaborating with IT and network teams to maintain uptime and protect enterprise assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10 years of IT-related project experience.
• 5+ years in network security and firewall management.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Preferred CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific firewall certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement firewall infrastructure to safeguard network systems.
• Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify and respond to abnormalities.
• Create and enforce firewall policies and rules to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure a secure network architecture.
• Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and improve security measures.
• Troubleshoot firewall and network security issues promptly.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for firewall configurations and procedures.
