Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Senior Analyst in Financial Reporting to perform complex GAAP and statutory reporting for the company and its subsidiaries. You will work with Woriva, OACS, and our data infrastructure to ensure accurate, timely statements.

This role emphasizes process improvements, regulatory liaison, and support for external audits. Hybrid work arrangement: two days in the office and three days remote, with competitive benefits and career growth

Qualifications

• GAAP and/or statutory accounting bases.
• Insurance regulatory requirements.
• Complex financial statement preparation, including consolidation of companies/subsidiaries.
• Financial/statistical analysis.
• Principles of taxation and its impact on financial statements.
• Accounting and/or business computer systems.
• Ability to analyze financial or statistical results and trends.
• Verbal and written communication with regulators and partners.
• Ability to understand changes in reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Operate and maintain efficient financial information networks and software.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and reviews complex statutory financial statements and related reports.
• Assists in reviewing quarterly results and trend analysis for data integrity.
• Supports external audits and regulatory inquiries.
• Ensures timely tax and fee payments as required by law.
• Contributes to improvements in monthly/quarterly close and reporting processes.
