Job summary

Instacart is seeking a Senior Financial Insights Analyst to identify and close P&L leakage through rigorous financial and transactional data analysis. The role combines deep financial expertise with AI and automation to surface issues in real time and drive action with retailer partners.

You will analyze complex datasets, build alerts, and synthesize insights into clear narratives for stakeholders across finance and business teams.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Management Consulting
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related quantitative field
Strong analytical and technical skills with data structuring ability
Ability to craft compelling narratives and insights from data
Ability to present data-driven stories to drive retailer actions
Experience connecting large data sets from multiple systems and building real-time alerts
Experience with PowerPoint/Google Slides
Experience writing advanced SQL queries
Ability to decompose ambiguous problems and develop efficient solutions

Responsibilities

Identify and close P&L leakage through rigorous data analysis
Build real-time alerting capabilities using AI and automation tools
Develop expert understanding of marketplace data, invoicing processes and retailer partnerships
Connect datasets from multiple systems using SQL, Excel, Python and synthesize findings into clear narratives
Present findings to internal and external stakeholders via Google Slides or PowerPoint
Maintain strong, high-impact stakeholder relationships and prioritize high-impact problems
