Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our finance team for Aetna Better Health of Virginia. This remote role blends data analysis with financial planning, requiring SQL expertise and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.

You will partner with internal and external teams, prepare monthly financial packages, develop reports in SQL and Excel, and drive efficiency through data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience SQL or database query languages or 3+ years FP&A
• 3+ years Microsoft Excel experience
• Hands on experience with generative AI to improve productivity
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Must be located in US

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal and external stakeholders as a business ally
• Provide data and analysis to support healthcare goals and member care
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and regulatory packages
• Write and modify SQL code to deliver insights from complex data
• Manage data from multiple sources using SQL Server Management Studio
• Communicate processes and requirements to business and technical staff
• Use SQL to identify trends and outliers for leadership action
• Create ad hoc reports in SQL and Excel; develop new reports as needed
• Identify efficiency gains and cost savings opportunities
• Ensure accuracy of premiums through reconciliation reporting
• Represent finance in plan/provider meetings as needed
• Explain business drivers and market trends to stakeholders
• Assist project teams as a subject matter expert
