Job summary

Ferguson is hiring a Senior ERP Software Engineer to join the Enterprise Solutions Team within Ferguson IT, working on the Trilogie ERP system migration from Unix to Linux. This fully remote role can be based anywhere in the United States.

You will design, implement, and own end-to-end software solutions, collaborating with Analysts, Product Owners, QA, and third-party providers while adhering to Ferguson’s SDLC. Strong Pick-based language experience is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with UniBasic or another Pick-based language.
• Experience integrating applications with APIs / web services.
• Experience working with Oracle or SQL Server databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep working knowledge of Trilogie’s architecture and functionality.
• Design and build software that automates, improves, or changes business processes.
• Own projects end-to-end — from planning through implementation — following Ferguson’s Software Development Lifecycle.
• Partner with Business Systems Analysts and Product Owners to clarify requirements and design scalable solutions.
• Work with the Administration Team to design scalable application environments.
• Collaborate with third-party software providers to ensure solutions meet Ferguson’s needs.
• Write unit tests, complete peer code reviews, and provide accurate estimates to meet deadlines.
• Contribute to a collaborative, shared-learning environment across peers, team leads, and supervisors.
