Job summary

RSI Environmental in Grand Junction, CO seeks a Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist to provide regulatory compliance expertise for Legacy Management’s long-term surveillance and maintenance obligations. The role requires extensive experience in environmental regulations and strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities include preparing compliance plans, submitting reports, and coordinating reviews while supporting EMS sustainability targets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology or related field; experience may substitute education.
15 years of relevant experience as required.

Responsibilities

Prepare site/project specific environmental compliance planning documentation.
Review and evaluate proposed actions per applicable environmental laws.
Identify and interpret regulatory requirements.
Prepare and submit regulatory compliance reports.
Review and respond to proposed regulatory changes and data calls.
Coordinate internal reviews and final document production and submittals.
Support EMS sustainability and compliance targets and goals.
Track progress of requirements and manage documentation in tracking systems.
Travel to project sites as needed.
Support LM through its environmental program and compliance with federal and state laws.
