Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design, governance, and modernization of our enterprise infrastructure across data centers, databases, storage, and backup platforms. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's preferred.
• 16–20 years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure/solution architecture or engineering.
• Experience designing and governing large-scale enterprise infrastructures.
• Strong data center, databases, storage, backup and modernization knowledge.
• Proven ability to develop enterprise architecture frameworks, standards and roadmaps.
• Understanding of security, compliance, risk management, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain current/transition/target-state enterprise architectures.
• Develop governance principles, standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps.
• Lead architecture assessments for cloud adoption, modernization and migration initiatives.
• Evaluate solutions and provide architectural recommendations for scalability, performance and cost.
• Ensure designs meet resilience, continuity, capacity planning, and security requirements.
• Lead vendor evaluations and proof-of-concept activities for strategic investments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architecture alignment and governance.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation and decision records.
• Provide senior technical leadership during incidents and major upgrades.
• Identify opportunities for standardization and automation across the organization.
