Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, Data Center specializing in Hyper-scale Data Centers to lead electrical design for large-scale facilities. This remote opportunity can be based from any U.S. office; travel is occasional.

You will design, implement, and maintain electrical systems, ensure NEC/IEC compliance, and mentor mid-level engineers. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years in data center infrastructure; sponsorship is available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years in electrical design/engineering for data centers.
  • Ten years of experience in data center infrastructure preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC (NFPA70) and related standards.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and client-management skills.
  • Experience with BIM software, specifically ACC Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement electrical systems for hyper-scale data centers, including medium and low-voltage power distribution, backup power, and emergency systems.
  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics, BOMs, and installation drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, IEC, and industry standards and regulations.
