Job summary

Intellivo is seeking a Senior EDI Engineer to own intake, parsing, and validation of healthcare-related data, including X12 transactions and flat files. You will build data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric and Azure, tune SQL on large claims datasets, and ensure data quality and PHI protection.

Remote role with Memphis, TN area preferred. The position emphasizes AI-assisted mapping, partner onboarding, and creating scalable data models for enterprise health plans.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data engineering/EDI experience with healthcare claims data.
• Deep hands-on HIPAA X12 5010 knowledge (837/835) and error handling.
• Experience with EDI translation/integration platforms or custom parsers.
• Onboarding data partners and clearinghouse experience.
• Strong SQL and performance tuning for large tables.

Responsibilities

• Own the intake, parsing, translation, and validation of incoming data files including X12 and flat files.
• Onboard data partners and manage test and production cutover cycles.
• Build and maintain reliable, query-ready claims data pipelines and models.
• Work with claims, member, provider, and payment data and standard codes.
• Write and tune complex SQL; optimize queries and indexing.
• Build and operate data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric and Azure stack.
• Establish data quality, reconciliation, and reprocessing paths.
• Handle unstructured inputs and bring them into a governed model.
• Apply AI to mappings, extraction, anomaly detection, and docs.
• Define data lineage, retention, and documentation; protect PHI.
