Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a Senior Director, Market Access Contract Assessment & Development, remote and full-time in the United States.

This role leads payer contracting, pricing strategy, and value-based agreements across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and institutional channels. The leader oversees pre-deal analytics, contract drafting, post-deal performance dashboards, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with brand and market access strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
• Advanced degree (MBA/JD) preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical pricing, analytics, or contracting.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing corporate teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end proposal and deal development lifecycle from opportunity assessment to contract execution and post-deal evaluation.
• Partner with account management and payer marketing to build robust business cases for national and regional opportunities.
• Oversee term sheet drafting and contract language with Legal and Market Access Strategy.
• Own Pricing Committee and deal approvals for major accounts, ensuring alignment with strategy and risk tolerance.
• Chair or co-lead core deal teams to refine strategies and prepare for approvals.
• Develop pricing strategy, discount structures, and value-based programs aligned with brand plan.
