Job summary

Catholic Charities Boston seeks a Senior Director of Major Gift and Capital Giving to lead major gift strategies, cultivate high-net-worth donors, and drive transformational philanthropy.

You will shape multi-year fundraising plans, manage a team, partner with senior leadership, and represent the organization at events to secure commitments supporting social services and education programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in fundraising.
• Proven success managing major and high-net-worth donors.
• Experience across annual, capital, planned giving, and events.
• Strong relationship building, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with donor CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge preferred) and MS Office.
• Experience working with boards and senior leadership.
• Passion for mission-driven work and Catholic Charities’ mission.

Responsibilities

• Design multi-year strategies to grow major, leadership, and transformational giving.
• Lead a team of three fundraisers to meet fundraising goals.
• Personally manage and expand a portfolio of high-net-worth donors.
• Collaborate with Boards, senior leadership, and program teams.
• Develop donor materials, proposals, reports, and briefing documents.
• Represent Catholic Charities at high-profile events and in the philanthropic community.
