Job summary

Jobs for the Future (JFF) seeks a Senior Director, Government Development to lead federal, state, and local government funding strategy and capture in a national context. This role reports to the Vice President of Development and manages a small Government Development team, coordinating cross‑functional proposal efforts to drive revenue and impact.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of public sector business development and fundraising experience.
• Proven record leading federal and state grant and contract pursuits.
• Exceptional written and oral communication for complex proposals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage government revenue strategy and outreach with public agency clients.
• Lead cross-functional capture plans and go/no-go processes.
• Oversee proposal development, writing, and quality assurance for major solicitations.
• Coordinate budgets, pricing, and staffing plans with Finance and program leadership.
• Build and mentor the Government Development team.
• Align strategy with JFF’s mission and North Star goals.
