Job summary

Gartner, Inc. in the United States, seeks a Senior Director within the Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group to lead research and client engagements with CIOs and senior IT leaders.

You will guide cloud, sourcing, and vendor negotiations, shape market insight, and present strategic recommendations at client meetings, Gartner events, and webinars. This hybrid role offers high visibility, collaboration across global teams, and the chance to influence technology strategy for enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 12+ years in CIO or Head of Sourcing, Procurement or Vendor Management
• Ability to shape modernization roadmaps and negotiate IT services contracts
• Strong written, verbal, analytical and presentation skills
• Experience presenting at large and small speaking engagements

Responsibilities

• Advise CIOs on technology sourcing, commercial strategy, and complex contract negotiations
• Guide cloud investment lifecycle from sourcing through renewal, delivering data-driven insights
• Lead large, complex negotiations with vendor pricing, discounts, and consumption models
• Provide expert guidance on cloud and AI licensing models and marketplace strategies
• Support clients in evaluating vendors and solutions tailored to industries
• Collaborate with Gartner Analysts to develop actionable research and insights
