Job summary

IronArch Technology is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support the VA RISE program. You will lead cross‑team design, integration, and production readiness for an AWS‑based MSK/Kafka platform, with a strong focus on security, automation, and observability.

You will collaborate with VA stakeholders and vendor teams, champion DevSecOps practices, and drive reliable, compliant delivery across the program in a remote US‑based role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands‑on production experience with Amazon MSK and/or Apache Kafka: cluster operations, schema management, and producer/consumer development.
• Experience designing or supporting event-driven architectures at enterprise scale.
• Proven ability to guide technical work across multiple teams and maintain a quality bar.

Responsibilities

• Guide teams integrating with the program's Amazon MSK (Kafka) event bus from design through production cutover.
• Contribute to schema design, review, and governance for new producers and consumers.
• Build and maintain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines with security checks integrated into releases.
• Operate and evolve AWS infrastructure as code (Terraform) and MSK cluster operations.
• Ensure observability, incident response, and resiliency for production streaming platforms.
