Job summary

EBSCO Information Services is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, build, and operate production-grade pipelines and infrastructure in an AWS-based data lakehouse environment. You will partner with data engineers to ensure reliability, security, and scalable delivery across workloads.

The role is remote within a distributed agile team, focused on automation, governance, and continuous improvement of DevSecOps practices. Strong Python and AWS expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software or data engineering experience.
• 3+ years building and maintaining production pipelines and infra.
• Strong Python skills and software engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on with AWS services (Step Functions, Lambda, S3, Glue, IAM, CloudWatch).
• CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience with reusable, testable IaC (Terraform, AWS CDK or CloudFormation).
• Understanding of data pipelines and lakehouse concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation pipelines across AWS environments.
• Implement CI/CD automation for packaging, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data engineers to operationalize workloads in a lakehouse ecosystem.
• Develop integrations between data ingestion, storage, and downstream repositories.
• Apply IaC to create reusable, versioned constructs and modules with automated tests.
• Define monitoring, alerting, and remediation for deployed services.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance standards across infra.
