Job summary

EBSCO Information Services invites a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain production-grade data pipelines and infrastructure in a predominantly AWS-based data lakehouse environment.

You will collaborate with data engineers and other teams to operationalize workloads, implement CI/CD, and ensure security, reliability, and scalable platform lifecycle across the data ecosystem. You will mentor junior engineers and help standardize delivery practices across teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software or data engineering.
• 3+ years building production pipelines and infrastructure.
• Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on AWS services experience (Step Functions, Lambda, S3, Glue, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Experience building testable infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation pipelines across AWS environments.
• Implement CI/CD automation for packaging, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data engineers to operationalize workloads in the data lakehouse.
• Develop integrations between data ingestion, storage, and downstream repos.
• Apply infrastructure-as-code to reusable, version-controlled constructs with tests.
• Define monitoring, alerting, and remediation for deployed services.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance standards.
• Participate in code reviews and documentation of DevSecOps practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices across teams.
