Job summary

EBSCO Information Services is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design and maintain production-grade data pipelines and platform infrastructure in an AWS-based environment. You will work with data engineers to ensure reliability, security, and scalability across the lifecycle from ingestion to deployment.

The role requires deep AWS knowledge, automation focus, and strong software engineering practices. This is a remote, distributed Agile position with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in software or data engineering.
• 3+ years of experience implementing and maintaining production pipelines and infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency in Python and solid software engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation pipelines across AWS environments.
• Implement CI/CD automation for packaging, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data engineers to operationalize workloads in the data lakehouse ecosystem.
• Develop integrations between data ingestion, storage, and downstream repositories.
• Apply infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation) to build reusable constructs.
• Automate monitoring, alerting, and remediation strategies for deployed services.
• Ensure infrastructure and pipelines meet security, compliance, and governance standards.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of DevSecOps practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to documentation and standards.
