Job summary

EBSCO Information Services is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design and maintain production-grade data and platform pipelines on an AWS-based data lakehouse. You will work with data engineers to operationalize workloads, ensure security, reliability, and scalable deployments across the lifecycle.

Remote role within a distributed Agile environment, with emphasis on IaC, automation, and observability. Strong collaboration and modern DevSecOps practices are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in software or data engineering.
• 3+ years of production pipelines and infrastructure.
• Strong Python skills and fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Step Functions, Lambda, ECR, S3, Glue, IAM, CloudWatch).
• CI/CD and containerization with Docker.
• Experience building reusable infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation).
• Data pipelines, ETL/ELT, lakehouse modeling.
• Strong collaboration and code review.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation pipelines across AWS environments.
• Implement CI/CD automation for packaging, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data engineers to operationalize workloads in the data lakehouse.
• Develop and maintain integrations between ingestion, storage, and repositories.
• Apply infrastructure-as-code to build reusable constructs that are version-controlled and tested.
• Implement versioning, reproducibility, and lineage tracking for pipelines.
• Define and automate monitoring, alerting, and remediation strategies.
• Ensure compliance and governance standards.
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to documentation.
