Job summary

PAR Technology Corporation seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and support its AWS cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes-based platform. The role emphasizes reliability, scalability, security, observability, and deployment automation across production environments.

Responsibilities include building AWS infra with OpenTofu, operating EKS workloads, managing GitOps with Argo CD and Helm, and developing automation in Python.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, Infra or SRE roles.
• Hands-on with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Production Kubernetes experience, preferably EKS.
• IaC experience with OpenTofu, Terraform or similar tools.
• GitOps-based deployments with Argo CD and Helm.
• Python scripting experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using OpenTofu.
• Operate Kubernetes workloads on Amazon EKS.
• Manage GitOps deployments using Argo CD and Helm.
• Develop automation and operational tooling using Python and scripting languages.
• Support AWS services including EKS, Aurora PostgreSQL, ElastiCache Redis, and RabbitMQ integration, plus networking and security groups.
• Implement monitoring, dashboards, alerts, logs, metrics, and tracing with Datadog.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to post-incident analysis.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.
