Job summary

Harvard Business Publishing in the Boston area seeks a Principal DevOps Architect to advance our DevOps maturity by automating delivery, observability, and security across the SDLC. You will define the strategy and lead collaboration with engineering, cloud operations, and security to deliver secure, scalable platforms.

You will design IaC standards, champion CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, and mentor engineers while documenting architecture and processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years applying DevOps to deliver scalable cloud apps.
• Ability to define platform and DevOps architecture strategy.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable, secure DevOps environment for CI/CD.
• Partner with engineering to translate delivery needs into tooling and practices.
• Establish architecture standards and best practices for repeatability.
• Champion IaC to provision and observe infrastructure consistently.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, ops, and security.
• Evolve observability standards and use telemetry to improve reliability.
• Mentor cloud operations engineers and document processes.
