Job summary

Autodesk is seeking a Principal Design Operations Program Manager to optimize XD processes within the PDMS organization. You will drive health and efficiency across teams, lead design sprints, and foster scalable DesignOps practices in a remote US/Canada role.

The ideal candidate excels at navigating ambiguity, building relationships, and delivering strategic and tactical outcomes with strong communications skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years design program management experience in a software environment.
• Familiarity with user-centered design practices and Agile methods.
• Strong track record in standing up programs and leading design sprints/workshops.
• Excellent project management skills and SDLC fluency.
• Solid AI foundation with up-to-date tools for designers.
• Strong writing, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and presentation abilities.
• Ability to travel roughly 10% or less.

Responsibilities

• Own and/or manage programs that improve team health, design efficiency, and impact.
• Establish goals, strategy, operating model, and governance.
• Execute tactics within schedule, budget, and quality parameters.
• Identify connections to other programs and align stakeholders.
• Plan and facilitate meetings and communications to keep on track.
• Design and lead design sprints to accelerate product and internal programs.
• Coach designers in prioritization, effort estimation, asset management, and knowledge sharing.
• Design and implement new ways of working to improve DesignOps.
• Help scale DesignOps across Autodesk by sharing best practices.
