Job summary

DecisionPoint Corporation seeks a Senior Database Administrator to lead enterprise database operations in a secure federal DoD-aligned environment. You will oversee IL5-hosted databases, ensure RMF alignment, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and vulnerability remediation while coordinating with DevSecOps and application teams.

The role requires 10+ years in database administration, a Top Secret clearance, and a BS in CS/IS/Software Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of database administration/engineering/architecture experience.
• Experience in secure federal/DoD environments with IL5 security controls and RMF alignment.
• Proficient with CI/CD integration, DevSecOps, and SDLC processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership over database operations, engineering, and administration in IL5 cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Oversee schema governance, indexing, data modeling, and performance optimizations.
• Ensure DoD RMF, STIGs, and audit readiness for database platforms.
• Lead performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting of complex issues.
• Manage backup, recovery, replication, clustering, and failover for high availability.
• Coordinate with DevSecOps on database integration within CI/CD pipelines.
• Support secure SDLC processes including change control and releases.
• Manage access controls, service accounts, and privileged user oversight.
• Oversee vulnerability scanning and remediation for database technologies.
• Collaborate with developers to align database design with business needs.
