Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Sr Data Scientist for remote work across the United States (excluding Hawaii and U.S. Territories). The role centers on advanced time series forecasting, optimization, and ML operations to improve demand accuracy, buying decisions, and inventory levels throughout the supply chain.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor data scientists, and steer model development from exploration to deployment, ensuring scalable solutions and strong technical governance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent with 3+ years experience, or bachelor’s with 6+ years in data science.
• Strong communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Expertise in ML, optimization, and deployment in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead forecasting, optimization, and ML model development for supply chain problems.
• Collaborate with product and business teams to translate challenges into models.
• Mentor junior data scientists and oversee model deployment and maintenance.
