US Foods is seeking a Sr Data Scientist to develop customized forecasting and optimization models that improve demand accuracy, inform buying decisions, and right-size inventory across the supply chain. This fully remote role is available in the United States except Hawaii and territories.

You will lead model development, mentor junior scientists, collaborate with stakeholders including product management, and manage end-to-end ML pipelines while contributing to deployment and process

Competenze

• Master's degree in data science/mathematics/CS/statistics with 3+ years of experience or Bachelor's with 6+ years.
• Experience building forecasting, optimization, or ML models and deploying them.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, data lakes, APIs, and DevOps/MLOps concepts.

Mansioni

• Lead formulation and development of forecasting, optimization, and ML models across multiple projects.
• Design, implement, and refine advanced ML and DL models for time series forecasting and optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including product management to align solutions with business needs.
• Own model development lifecycle from data exploration to deployment and monitoring.
• Mentor Associate Data Scientists and Data Scientists on technical and stakeholder interactions.
• Coordinate deployment and retraining with ML team and ensure coding standards are followed.
