Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to partner with stakeholders, scope and execute advanced analytics projects, and design data modeling processes. The role involves building production ML models and end-to-end ETL pipelines, with emphasis on predictive analytics using Python or R.

The Senior Data Scientist will mentor colleagues, communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences, and explore diverse data sources to maximize business impact.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science, economics, or related quantitative field preferred.
• Ten years of related experience including three years of predictive modeling, data science and analysis with data visualization, data wrangling and feature engineering.
• Experience with natural language processing and healthcare data preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds, prototypes, and deploys machine learning models in production environments.
• Collaborates with product, technology, and other stakeholders to identify and scope data science projects.
• Communicates modeling challenges, findings, and outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Designs and implements end-to-end ETL data pipelines integrating data from multiple sources.
• Explores new internal and external data sources and assesses their commercial benefit.
• Mentors team members and serves as a subject matter expert in cross-functional discussions.
