Job summary

Clinical Ink, Inc. seeks a Sr. Data Platform Architect to lead design and optimization of a cloud-based data platform. You will drive scalable, secure data solutions, establish engineering best practices, and collaborate across teams to advance data capabilities, including AI controls and governance.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with stakeholders, and contribute to data governance, data quality, and modern data architectures in a remote-friendly setup in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, MIS preferred or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in data/ software engineering with large datasets.
• 5+ years as data/enterprise/software architect for cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• 10+ years data warehouse exp with cloud DWs or MPP DBs.
• 5+ years NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, Neo4j).
• 5+ years data vault 2.0, dimensional modeling, dbt experience.
• 5+ years developing microservices and APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL).
• 5+ years messaging/streaming tech (Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, Flink).
• Experience with AI tools governance and guardrails.
• Experience with PowerBI/Tableau/SSRS for reporting.
• Life Science/Clinical Trial data background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and maintenance of a cloud-based data platform with scalable architecture.
• Promote engineering best practices: CI, code reviews, tests, agile.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to deliver data capabilities.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive AI integration controls.
• Advance data governance, quality, catalogs, and lineage initiatives.
