Solution IT Inc. is seeking a Data Architect to design and own end-to-end data architecture for a remote client engagement. Responsibilities include building data models, pipelines, governance, and collaborating with BI, analytics, and AI/ML teams.

The role requires 10+ years in data engineering/architecture and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Snowflake, GCP, Databricks, Azure or AWS. Strong SQL and data modelling are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering or architecture.
• 3+ years in a Data Architect role.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake, GCP, Databricks, Azure or AWS data services.
• Strong data modelling skills and advanced SQL.
• Hands-on with ETL/ELT and orchestration tools and streaming.
• Experience with data governance and metadata/catalog tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Design and own end-to-end data architecture, including ingestion, storage, transformation, and consumption layers.
• Build conceptual, logical, and physical data models; architect batch and near-real-time pipelines.
• Set governance, data quality, lineage, metadata, and security standards.
• Lead cloud data platform decisions and optimize performance and cost.
• Collaborate with data engineers, BI/analytics, and AI/ML teams to make data AI-ready.
• Translate requirements into architecture roadmaps and present trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
• Document architecture decisions, standards, and reference patterns.
