Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Data Modeler to design enterprise-wide data models for a large healthcare data transformation program. You will collaborate with business leaders, data architects, governance teams, and domain stakeholders to create scalable data structures that support analytics, reporting, AI, and operational excellence.

The role emphasizes cloud-based data platforms and Databricks, with a remote position open to qualified applicants in the United States.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in enterprise data modeling across multiple domains.
• Strong data architecture experience in health plan/payer environments with Medicare Advantage exposure a plus.
• Ability to translate business concepts into enterprise data models and align definitions.
• Experience facilitating requirements sessions and cross-functional workshops.
• Solid understanding of data governance, MDM, data quality, and data lineage.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and Databricks.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise data models aligned with strategy.
• Create conceptual, canonical, logical, physical, and domain models across Medicare Advantage domains.
• Facilitate workshops to establish definitions, standards, and relationships.
• Align models with governance, metadata, MDM, analytics, reporting, and AI.
• Partner with implementation teams to translate models into cloud-based solutions.
