Goodway Group is a remote-first media and marketing services firm with a 90+ year history, based in the US with teams in the US and UK. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and own scalable data systems powering analytics and decision-making.

You will mentor engineers, translate business needs into data solutions, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data platforms that drive measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Experience building scalable data pipelines (batch and/or streaming).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or Scala.
• Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
• Familiarity with Airflow or Dagster and data modeling.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of production-grade data systems.
• Design data models, pipelines, and storage solutions.
• Ensure code quality and reliability across data workflows.
• Translate business needs into technical data solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams.
• Mentor engineers and unblock progress.
• Identify and mitigate risks early.
• Improve pipelines, testing, observability, and deployment.
