Job summary

Team Velocity is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and scale our data platform powering analytics, BI, machine learning, and customer-facing products. You will build reliable data pipelines and modern data architectures that deliver trusted, actionable data across the organization.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, BI, Data Science, and business stakeholders to deploy scalable solutions, optimize performance, and mentor teammates.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Data Engineering or related field.
• Strong SQL and cloud data platforms experience (Snowflake preferred).
• Proficient in Python and data engineering practices.
• Experience building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines and data models.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT/ETL workflows.
• Develop and optimize data models and enterprise data structures for reporting and ML.
• Leverage Snowflake and cloud data platforms to ingest, transform, and optimize large datasets.
• Partner with BI and Data Science teams to deliver production-ready datasets.
• Design data quality, validation, and monitoring processes.
• Support batch and near real-time data integration.
• Develop APIs and data services for internal and customer-facing apps.
• Optimize data pipeline performance, scalability, and cost.
• Document architectures, pipelines, and standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
• Mentor team members and establish engineering best practices.
