Job summary

Dataro is seeking a Senior Data Engineer - Forward Deployed to work with US customers on data integrations and end-to-end solutions. You will own technical designs, implement data pipelines, and troubleshoot in partnership with our Sydney team.

You will be one of the first technical hires in the US, requiring independence and strong ownership in ambiguous situations. Remote role with preference for Pacific or Mountain Time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience building and supporting real-world data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills with large, complex datasets.
• Strong Python production-grade coding experience.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, Batch, Lambda, S3, Athena).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Excellent communication skills for customer calls and translating requirements.

Responsibilities

• Understand clients' systems, data structures, and fundraising workflows.
• Bridge between clients, engineering, sales, and customer success.
• Develop and maintain data integrations across fundraising/CRM platforms.
• Build and optimize data pipelines; troubleshoot ingestion/transformation/delivery.
• Collaborate with data scientists/engineers to run models effectively.
• Lead onboarding and technical implementation with customers.
• Represent engineering in-market and advocate for customer needs.
