Job Title: Remote Senior Data Engineer (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $3,500 USD per month

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Eastern Time

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role within our IT and Analytics teams, developing robust data pipelines and analytics solutions that drive critical business decisions. You’ll be responsible for architecting, managing, and enhancing our data ecosystem, including improving data ingestion, processing pipelines, transformation, analytics, visualization, and integration across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Snowflake.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement data solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Improve data ingestion and processing pipelines to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement data transformation and integration processes to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Build analytics and visualization solutions using Power BI to provide actionable insights.
• Independently manage tasks, ensure timely completion, and address complex data issues proactively.
• Continuously improve existing data infrastructure, pipelines, and practices.

Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:

Required Skills:

• Expert proficiency with Spark, Databricks, Python, and SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Hands-on development experience with relational databases (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle), including complex stored procedures, functions, and optimization of SSIS packages.
• Experience designing and building data pipelines using APIs, BigQuery, and streaming ingestion methods.
• Proficiency working with telemetry using Azure Monitor and App Insights.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and Power BI.
• Extensive experience developing and optimizing data workflows and ETL/ELT processes.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and database optimization.
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies, data lakes, and data governance.

Other Requirements:

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant data engineering experience.
• Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and solve complex data challenges independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams.
