Job summary

SPOC Energy invites a Senior Data Center Power Systems Engineer to lead the design of electrical power systems for mission-critical data centers. You will define power architecture, select major electrical components, and ensure performance, efficiency, and reliability across the design lifecycle.

The role involves hands-on work, evaluating power flow, fault current, and thermal loading while partnering with controls and mechanical teams to optimize packaging and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 8+ years of electrical systems design experience is expected.
• Strong understanding of AC and DC electrical power systems is required.
• Proficiency with ETAP or SKM PowerTools or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience designing medium and low voltage power systems and performing load calculations.

Responsibilities

• Design complete electrical power system architectures for mission-critical applications.
• Develop system-level electrical designs based on customer requirements.
• Perform electrical load analysis, power calculations, and equipment sizing.
• Select and specify major electrical components including batteries, transformers, switchgear, and distribution equipment.
• Collaborate with controls and mechanical engineering to ensure integration and manufacturability.
• Support prototype development, testing, validation, and field commissioning.
• Provide technical leadership throughout product development.
