Job summary

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience deploying power infrastructure at scale (including utility service entrances, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, ATS/STS, busway, PDUs, rack-level power).
• Understanding of facility power topologies and standards (N, N+1, 2N, 415/240V, 480V).
• Knowledge of electrical codes and arc flash safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary SME for all power-related engineering topics at DigitalOcean.
• Develop and maintain standards for datacenter facilities.
• Lead rack power distribution system selection ensuring scalability.
• Develop power monitoring tooling and alerting thresholds.
