Job summary

Justjoin is seeking an experienced Data Analyst/Analytics Engineer to lead the technical approach for extracting and scoring social trend data. You will build prototype pipelines, validate new data sources, and translate business needs into robust analytics solutions. Remote work is supported, with strong collaboration across senior data leadership.

You will own data quality, build reusable code, and contribute to the direction of data workstreams using Python, SQL, dbt, Snowflake, and BI tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with data analysis focus.
• Hands-on experience with dbt, Snowflake, and large datasets.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Independent problem solving with ownership and accountability.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and data pipelines.
• Analytical mindset and automation focus.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical approach for extracting, analysing, and scoring trend signals and hashtags from social platforms.
• Evaluate new social data sources and assess their value.
• Define, validate, and improve analytical metrics.
• Build prototype data pipelines and analytical experiences for validation.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into clear technical plans.
• Take ownership of complex technical implementation within the project.
• Clean and prepare large datasets ensuring data quality.
• Build automated tests into data pipelines to improve reliability.
• Create quick prototypes to validate concepts with stakeholders.
• Document processes and maintain work in Jira.
• Deliver clean, reusable code, datasets, and pipelines.
• Collaborate with senior data leadership and guide the workstream direction.
• Utilize AI coding tools while ensuring output quality.
