Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a senior Cyber Security Incident Response Lead to join our global information security team. You will act as the senior technical member driving incident response, forensics, and threat research across cloud and on-prem environments.

The role focuses on improving detection, response, and remediation capabilities, developing comprehensive incident reports, and guiding the organization through high-impact security events with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of cloud-agnostic infrastructure security.
• Ability to conduct forensic and incident response investigations.
• Understanding of incident response workflow and risk mitigation planning.
• Ability to analyze security events for anomalous activity.
• Identify emerging security threats.
• Develop and implement security improvement and remediation programs.
• Experience with cloud and web-based environments investigations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end incident investigations across endpoints and cloud platforms.
• Develop and execute incident response plans and create investigation reports.
• Analyze security events for anomalies and identify high-confidence threats.
• Collect intelligence to proactively detect threats to brand and infrastructure.
• Review tools and processes to strengthen security capabilities and close gaps.
• Lead communications and collaborate with peers to safeguard assets.
