Job summary

ICF is actively recruiting an experienced Senior Data Mining and Analytics Engineer to support the R&D of new cyber analytic capabilities for federal cyberspace defense. The role is primarily telework-based with occasional meetings at client locations in Arlington, VA or Pensacola, FL, or at ICF facilities in the DC metro area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years or Master’s with 10+ years in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• Working knowledge of cyber threats, tools, techniques, and processes.
• Demonstrated data modeling experience with large datasets using data mining and analysis methods/tools.
• Active security clearance required as part of client contract requirements.
• US citizenship required due to contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform knowledge elicitation from customer subject matter experts and convert that into analytic solutions.
• Design, engineer, and optimize sustainment of large-scale distributed computation platforms and supporting environments for stakeholders.
• Manage teams of system administrators, prioritize work, identify high-risk issues, and allocate resources.
• Oversee transition of services from third-party vendors to analytic environment and provide end-user training as needed.
• Identify data to perform analytics and create solutions to acquire, transform, load, or correlate data components.
• Develop custom data modeling procedures to assist with data mining, modeling, and production.
• Assess effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
• Interpret and communicate results to non-technical customers.
