Job summary

ICF seeks an experienced Technical Writer to support cyber analytic capabilities for a large federal program. You will describe the evolution and automation of cyber security capabilities, working with customers, SMEs, developers, and researchers to translate technical topics into clear materials.

The role is primarily telework-based with occasional meetings at Arlington, VA or Pensacola, FL client locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field with 3+ years of experience
• Knowledge of policy, current events, and issues impacting critical infrastructure
• Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
• 3+ years of experience explaining highly technical data and information
• Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and graphics
• Experience with collaborative tools (SharePoint, Teams, Jira, Confluence, Wiki)
• Experience gathering and converting data into written narratives
• Active security clearance required and US citizenship for contract eligibility
• Preference for Master’s degree and cybersecurity communications familiarity

Responsibilities

• Write documents and deliverables for a cybersecurity organization
• Draft technical documents and communications in plain language for end users of complex IT systems
• Edit white papers explaining analytic topics and how analytics work together
• Provide technical writing and editing services adhering to customer style guides and QA
• Author SOPs, reports, slick sheets, presentations, and other materials
• Research technical information and gather input from cybersecurity team members
• Coordinate stakeholder input, fact-checking, and integration of text and graphics
• Prepare, design, and publish documents for government and international users
• Support development of targeted communications such as Annual Reports and newsletters
