Job summary

Samaritan Health Services seeks an experienced Credentialing Coordinator to independently manage all activities within initial and re-credentialing applications and provider enrollment processes. The role includes primary source verification of licensure and credentials for employment, hospital privileges, and health plan enrollment.

You will collaborate with Medical Staff and Samaritan Health Plan offices to ensure file accuracy, reduce duplication, and serve as a system expert for provider

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Four years of experience in a similar role with one year in credentialing and MSOW applications.
• Experience in secretarial science and office management.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance including The Joint Commission, DNV, NCQA and CMS.
• Experience with medical staff structures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage initial and re-credentialing applications and provider enrollment processes.
• Verify licensure, certification and credentials for employment, hospital privileges and health plan participation.
• Collaborate with Medical Staff and Samaritan Health Plan to ensure file accuracy and reduce duplication.
• Serve as system expert for provider database management and mentor junior staff.
