Job summary

Fortrea is seeking an experienced Senior CRA with ophthalmology expertise to monitor clinical trials across U.S. sites. You will manage study sites, ensure protocol compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data.

The role requires 3+ years of monitoring experience, travel 30-50% plus, and a degree in a related field. Open to major hub locations in California, Texas, and the Southeast & Northeast US, with remote options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field or certification.
• 3+ years of Clinical Monitoring experience.
• 30-50+% overnight travel requirement.
• Ophthalmology experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of study site monitoring including routine monitoring and close-out of clinical sites, maintenance of study files, conduct of pre-study and initiation visits; liaise with vendors; and other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for all aspects of site management as prescribed in the project plans
• General On-Site Monitoring
• Ensure the study staff have the proper materials and instructions to safely enter patients into the study
• Ensure informed consent procedures and protocol requirements are adhered to
• Ensure data integrity in CRFs and other data tools
• Responsible for registry management and feasibility work as requested
• Complete SAE reporting and follow-up
• CRF review, query generation and resolution
• Assist with training of new employees, e.g., co-monitoring
• Coordinate designated clinical projects as a Local Project Coordinator
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
