Job summary

Fortrea is seeking an experienced Senior CRA with ophthalmology monitoring expertise to oversee site monitoring across major US hubs. 3+ years in monitoring, willingness to travel 30-50% are required.

You will conduct visits, ensure protocol compliance, safeguard patient data, and support site staff across multiple projects. The role involves local project coordination, training of new staff, and liaison with vendors in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

• University or college degree, or certification in a related allied health profession.
• 3+ years of Clinical Monitoring experience.
• 30-50+% overnight travel.
• Ophthalmology experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of study site monitoring including routine monitoring and close-out of clinical sites, maintenance of study files, conduct of pre-study and initiation visits; liaise with vendors; and other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for all aspects of site management as prescribed in the project plans.
• General On-Site Monitoring.
• Ensure the study staff who will conduct the protocol have received the proper materials and instructions to safely enter patients into the study.
• Ensure the protection of study patients by verifying informed consent procedures and protocol requirements.
• Ensure data integrity by monitoring Case Report Forms and data collection tools.
• Independently perform CRF review; query generation and resolution.
• Assist with training of new employees, eg. co-monitoring.
• Coordinate designated clinical projects as a Local Project Coordinator and may act as a local client contact.
