Job summary

Fortrea is seeking experienced Sr. CRAs with ophthalmology expertise to monitor clinical trial sites across California, Texas, and the East and South regions of the US.

This role involves on-site monitoring, data integrity, SAE reporting, and close collaboration with vendors and site staff. Ideal candidates hold a related degree and have 3+ years of clinical monitoring experience, including ophthalmology projects, with significant overnight travel.

Qualifications

• University or college degree in a related allied health profession or equivalent.
• 3+ years of Clinical Monitoring experience.
• 30-50+% overnight travel anticipated.
• Ophthalmology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all aspects of study sites including routine monitoring and close-out, maintain study files, conduct pre-study and initiation visits, liaise with vendors and other duties as assigned.
• Manage site activities as prescribed in project plans.
• Perform general on-site monitoring.
• Ensure protocol staff have proper materials and instructions for patient entry.
• Verify informed consent procedures and protocol requirements per regulatory standards.
• Ensure data integrity on CRFs and other data tools; monitor data for missing or implausible entries.
• Oversee registry management and perform feasibility work as needed.
• Complete SAE reporting and follow-up narratives.
• CRF review and query resolution per guidelines; may assist training of new staff.
• Coordinate designated clinical projects as Local Project Coordinator and act as client contact when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
