Job summary

Logan Health is seeking a Senior Certified Professional Coder to join our remote coding team. The role requires 2+ years of acute care coding experience and a nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA, CCS, CPC or AAPC).

You will assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes, review records for accuracy, ensure regulatory compliance, and support billing and collections for client databases. Remote position; approved states list applies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional coding experience in acute care or medical office setting.
• Must hold a nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA, CCS, CPC or AAPC).
• Ability to assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and sequences ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for various patient types and settings (inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, ER).
• Review medical records for documentation deficiencies and ensure accurate coding for billing and compliance.
• Support billing and collections by ensuring accurate data entry and coordination with other departments.
