United-Biosource-Corporation (UBC) seeks an experienced Associate General Counsel to lead strategic legal counsel on clinical and commercial CRO/biopharma services, privacy, and regulatory matters. The role spans US/EU regulatory, data protection, and employment law, with collaboration across HR, Compliance, and business units.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years legal experience, including at least 7 years in-house at a clinical research/biopharma setting.
• Experience advising on global clinical trials, decentralised/hybrid models, real-world evidence, and pharmacovigilance.
• Familiarity with global privacy laws and regulations.
• Experience with AI, machine learning, data analytics, cybersecurity, and data governance in life sciences.
• Experience advising on EU workforce matters including multi-country employee relations and privacy considerations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary/lead legal adviser on clinical and commercial biopharma services, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, and data management issues.
• Draft, review, negotiate client and vendor master agreements, data processing agreements, and related documents.
• Provide pragmatic guidance on privacy and data protection frameworks (GDPR, UK GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Coordinate with HR and compliance on workforce matters across Europe, including works councils and employee privacy.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on risk and compliance strategies.
