Job summary

Kraken is seeking a US-licensed attorney to join Payward’s in-house Labor & Employment team as a senior member. This fully remote role focuses on advising on worker classification, wage-and-hour matters, executive compensation, data privacy, and global mobility while partnering with PX and leadership to scale a worldwide workforce.

You will manage outside counsel, support M&A due diligence, and help craft policies and AI-enabled workflows for the L&E function, with a proactive, entrepreneurial

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in at least one US State
• Experience advising in-house and in high-growth and mature environments
• Ability to work across US and global jurisdictions with flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior member of the Labor and Employment legal team
• Advise on worker classification, separations, compensation plans, and wage-and-hour matters
• Support M&A due diligence and post-closing workforce integration
• Advise on risk mitigation for trade secret matters and restrictive covenants
• Develop global L&E practices and policies with PX and leadership
• Provide input on data privacy issues affecting employees and candidates
• Manage outside counsel on pre-litigation and local-law matters
• Help build AI-enabled workflows for L&E processes
• Monitor global L&E trends in crypto and regulated sectors
