Job summary

Eaton’s legal organization seeks a Counsel, Labor & Employment to act as a trusted advisor on employment and labor law across a global workforce. Based in Beachwood, Ohio, with remote-work options and travel as needed, you will partner with HR and senior leaders to shape strategy and handle bargaining and labor relations for multiple businesses.

The role requires deep knowledge of Title VII, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, and collective bargaining, plus strong judgment and communication skills to drive

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state, with eligibility to practice as in-house counsel in Ohio.
• Minimum of 10 years of employment law experience, including meaningful labor relations experience.
• Direct experience with collective bargaining negotiations, grievances, and NLRB matters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on labor relations and collective bargaining, including contract negotiations and CBAs.
• Advise HR and business leaders on hiring, terminations, reorganizations, leaves, and related policies.
• Coordinate with external counsel and drive enterprise-wide risk management and policy implementation.
